Regulation Authority:

Chapters 42-17.1, 42-17.6, 42-35-18(b)(5); and 20-4 through 20-10, and sections 20-1-2, and 20-3-2 through 20-3-6, in accordance with Chapter 42-35 of the RIGL's of 1956, as amended.

Purpose and Reason:

The purpose of this amendment to the "Rhode Island Marine Fisheries Statutes and Regulation - Part VII - Minimum Sizes of Fish/Shellfish is to decrease the commercial possession limit of black sea bass to 100 pounds, per vessel, per calendar day, effective 12:01 AM on 11/4/03.
